Programs
The Seafood Center operates two programs, which in part are supported by the revenues received from catering services. These two programs are designed to increase the competitive advantage of the seafood industry operating in coastal communities of Oregon and Washington.
Market Links
The Market Links program provides education, training and promotional services to current and future users, purchasers and promoters of coastally produced seafood. The program services include hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations for consumers, seafood recipes and event promotion and marketing and promotional assistance for seafood businesses.
Community Seafood Initiative
The Community Seafood Initiative provides development resources to help those in the seafood industry access new economic opportunities that increase financial returns for their businesses and improve the quality of life for those the industry supports. The resources are provided by a group of professionials from Oregon State University, ShoreBank Enterprise Cascadia, Oregon Sea Grant and The Seafood Center.
